What is DoodleRise?
DoodleRise is a new kind of alarm app where you draw a prompt to dismiss the alarm. Each morning you get a random prompt and must sketch it within a time limit.
Is it free?
Yes, DoodleRise is free to download and use.
What devices are supported?
Currently available on iOS devices (iPhone).
How do I set an alarm?
Open the app, tap '+', set the time, choose a prompt category, and save.
Do I have to draw to stop the alarm?
When drawing challenges are enabled, complete the prompt or use a skip to stop the alarm. You can turn off drawing challenges in the alarm settings to use a regular alarm.
What if I'm bad at drawing?
No artistic skill needed! A quick finger sketch is all it takes. The goal is to move your hands and wake up.
How many prompts are there?
Over 300 prompts across multiple categories, randomly selected each morning.
Where are my drawings saved?
Drawings are saved on your device by default. Only drawings you choose to post to a group are uploaded and shared with that group. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Will deleting the app delete my drawings?
Deleting the app removes drawings saved on your device. Save important drawings to Photos from the app before uninstalling.
How do I set up a widget?
Long-press your home screen, tap '+', and select a DoodleRise widget. Choose from 4 design styles.
Can I change which drawing appears?
You can choose your own drawings, friends’ drawings, or a group feed in the widget settings. The widget rotates drawings from the selected feed automatically.
My alarm doesn't ring
Check that notifications are enabled. Also make sure Do Not Disturb and Focus modes are off.
The app is slow or crashes
Update to the latest version. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app.
